Registration

Registration for the conference closed at 5pm Mountain time on Friday, July 30th. The conference, originally scheduled for June 2020, was postponed as a result of health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was held from August 2nd through 6th, 2021. The WAC Summer Institute, which had originally been planned to precede the conference, was scheduled for later in the fall of 2021. See https://wacassociation.org/event/2021-wac-summer-institute/.

To view the conference on the web, visit iwac15.events.whova.com or join with the Whova mobile app (available through your favorite app store). If you have not already done so, use the email address you used to when you registered for the conference to create your account.

Discounts were provided for members of the Association for Writing Across the Curriculum, graduate students, and retirees, and part-time or contingent faculty members. The fee will be significantly reduced because we will no longer have to cover costs of meals and room rentals, among other expenses.

Registration Fees

The following registration types were available. 

  • Regular: $70
  • AWAC Member: $60.00
  • Graduate Student: $50.00
  • Part-time Faculty or Faculty in Contingent Positions: $50.00
  • Retirees: $50.00

Registration Grants (Closed)

A grant from Bedford/St. Martin's (Macmillan Learning), managed by members of the IWAC Advisory Board, allowed up to 25 faculty members who are in part-time or contingent positions to be awarded free registration. Similarly, a grant from PowerNotes, managed by the WAC Graduate Organization, provided up to 10 graduate or undergraduate students with free registration. Applications for both grants are now closed.
